JUGULAR, Inc. was founded in Huntington Beach "Surf City", California by Michael Lajtay in 1996.

Shortly thereafter, the Team JUGULAR Street Luge and Downhill Skateboarding team was born -- proudly leaving a nasty lookin' scar on the face of action sports history!  These high-speed sports are illegal on public roads and have a reputation for being short cuts to the emergency room.  Led by Street Luge Medalist Wade Sokol, Team JUGULAR went on to dominate in these two sports simultaneously -- winning Bronze, Silver and Gold Medals at every major action sports event in the world.

In 1999, Team JUGULAR won the 1st Gold & Bronze Medals that were handed out at the Inaugural Gravity Games on NBC Sports in Providence, Rhode Island -- at the same event that Tony Hawk completed his legendary "900".  In 2000, Team JUGULAR swept the Japanese Core Extreme Games, winning every medal that was available.

At the X-Games, Team JUGULAR was an unstoppable force, winning numerous medals every year in both the Street Luge and Downhill Skateboarding competitions. These impressive performances resulted in the 1st Street Luge video game ever made, Activision's "JUGULAR Street Luge Racing".

Team JUGULAR was featured in an IMAX film entitled, "Ultimate X" and even in an HBO Special entitled, "Xtreme Sports to Die For". In 2007, JUGULAR set its sights on the NASCAR world, winning the title of "Rookie of the Year" in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series with driver Jeff Melton in the JUGULAR car, a fan favorite at the track and a common sight in the winner's circle that season.
